Listening To Brother Bird
Sadly, most of us have forgotten the wonders and joys of early childhood. When you are born and raised in a certain part of the world, that locale gives you most of what you learn and know. Its magic and wonder eventually fades into tame familiarity so that we can focus on the other set of nuts and bolts which allow us to navigate the adult world. The ecstasy of moving and living in a much different part of the world, like East Africa, is that one can again experience the joys of wondrous new sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and touches… Listening to my brother from another mother perched in the trees outside my offices gives me yet another opportunity to count my blessings and stay grounded in this spiritual journey known as life.
