My Very Short Bio
Please let me share with you some highlights of my life I’ve been allowed to live. In its constant evolution along with the world I inhabit, one theme has been looming larger and larger. IS IT TIME TO RETURN TO AFRICA AS I PROMISED? I invite you, the reader, to explore this move with me as wanderlust strikes again. Self-determination is best achieved in your given homeland.
Columnist Russ Doughthat of the New York Times has written a new book entitled “THE DECADENT SOCIETY: How We Became the Victims of Our Own Success“. In it he prefers to contemplate the possibility of a Western renaissance, brought about by … Africa. (Surprise!) Just as conservative Catholics fought nobly against the French Revolution, so sub-Saharan Africa has resisted the cultural imperialism of the now decadent West. Which means that, given Africa’s high birthrates, continued emigration and increasing rates of conversion to conservative Christianity, it may be poised to rejuvenate the countries that once colonized it, both religiously and demographically. Douthat invites us to “imagine a Eurafrica in which black Christians fill the Gothic churches of the Old Continent — something that happens already if you look in the right Parisian neighborhood — and then gain enough power and influence to build new ones, in new-old styles, in both Nantes and Nairobi.”
