Wongel Zelalem reports on Ghanaian American inventor Thomas O. Mensah exposes how the British designed the education system of Africa which we can clearly measure, especially in Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria, former British colonies. We at Tharaka Invention Academy are stressing practical skills during our curriculum development with the concurrence of all notable stakeholders. These practical skills are all aimed at developing creative and innovative inventors and problem solvers. Africans will be trained to solve African problems!
Read “ Invention School Apprentices Will Master These Skills” Tharaka Invention Circle CBO is establishing a local Invention School in Kenya and will enroll selectively and evenly chosen local boys and girls to attend. The learning regimen is described in the table below and is structured to develop five qualities necessary in a successful inventor:
Collaboration skills
Ability to effectively communicate in multiple modalities
Ability to think critically and clearly in problem solving
Demonstrate higher than usual creativity in developing new inventions
