What A Pleasant Surprise
Today, one of my young African brothers dropped by to give me a surprise gift. A perfect painting that I’m hanging in my office. His son and others coming behind him will raise the collective consciousness to understand that history has taught African people that we are one and as such share a varied past as well as a common destiny. The era of despising ourselves and being detested by a large portion of humanity is over. Our mission is to create great tomorrows, and the urge to do so has been dormant for hundreds of years, but “things are a-changing.”
