Yes, Engineers Innovate Roller Coasters
Inventiveness and innovation takes place in all fields of human endeavor, including playing and having fun. Personally, I’m playing and having fun designing products and systems designed to raise the economies of Africa and increase the well-being of the people around me. Perhaps my ideas and developments will hopefully spread because Africa does not currently have the luxury of indulging in fluffy fun and games while it is the target of major powers around the world to take advantages of its weaknesses and plotting to acquire greater control of its resources. Fun Spot America Atlanta has transformed itself into something of a destination for the nation’s roller coaster enthusiasts, with the unveiling of a marquee ride, ArieForce One.
The ride is among the newest designed by Rocky Mountain Construction, a roller coaster manufacturer that, in the last decade or so, has become one of the most innovative in the business. The company is a particular favorite among roller coaster fans who make special trips to theme parks around the country to check out the latest advancements in thrill-seeking.
FOX 5 photojournalist Chris Francis took a test ride on the new ArieForce One roller coast at Fun Spot Atlanta near Fayetteville. The coaster reaches speeds of 64 mph with its initial drop of 146 feet at an 83-degree angle.
