The 10 African Countries That Offer FREE Citizenship For Africans In The Diaspora

According to this video I should be able to consider gaining citizenship to several of these countries which have been mentioned:
Ghana ✔
Kenya
South Africa
Zimbabwe ✔
Gabon
Nigeria ✔
Senegal
Rwanda
Zambia
Angola

At 3:41 this video has asserted that Kenya announced “consideration” of granting citizenship to black Americans. To date and to my knowledge this “consideration” has not resulted in any recognizable action. I know as I’m currently living here through a residency permit costing about $3,000. In 2018, there is no specific information indicating that Kenya initiated moves to grant residency or citizenship to Africans in the diaspora. However, some relevant points are:

Immigrants can apply for permanent residency in Kenya after seven years of legally living and working in the country. Applicants must also reside in Kenya for the three years preceding the application and demonstrate skills, education, and finances that will contribute to the country’s overall development. In 2010, Kenya extended voting rights to its estimated 3 million citizens living abroad.

It appears that while Kenya has some provisions for immigrants and its diaspora, there is no specific initiative from 2018 to present focused on granting residency or citizenship to Africans in the diaspora according to its Constitution and current immigration policies. These stories of unity remind us that borders are no barriers when it comes to celebrating our shared humanity and embracing the richness of our diverse identities. The journey of African countries granting citizenship to Black Americans is far from over but with each step taken the tapestry of connection grows stronger, paving the way for a future where we can celebrate the ties that bind us as one Global family.
