Where is the Culinary Innovation?
Why African Food Is Overlooked
African Food: Why Don’t Non-Black Africans Fancy “African Food”?
Is the black African cuisine so terrible? What is it that the world fancies about the black region of Africa? Tokyo has 160 Michelin-starred restaurants; Paris has 141; London has 88; New York City has 72; Shanghai has 49; Seoul has 42; and Dubai has 20. The whole of Africa has zero.
Does the lack of Michelin-starred restaurants in Africa indicate that the culinary skills of Africans are just as bad as their infrastructure, or is it racism again? Is eating with your hands hygienic in the 21st century? In this video, I explored all of that.
